Veterinary Assistant - Surgery

Proposed Schedule: - Full Time

Monday through Friday, 4 days per week, 8a-6p

While under the supervision of the Hospital Manager and the Technical Supervisor, the VA must be able to effectively and accurately perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Perform proper restraint techniques
  • Know and understand normal vital signs for dog & cat   
  • Preparation and administration of medications, IV, orally, and topically
  • Radiology
  • Physical examinations and patient assessment
  • Laboratory work
  • Pharmacy
  • Patient recovery
  • Compassionate care for our patients
  • Other duties as assigned*



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formal Veterinary Assistant education or Applied Science degree preferred


  • At least one year of experience in customer service is required. 
  • Previous experience in veterinary medicine preferred.
